Surah Al-Anfal, Ayah 37 (8:37)

ٱلْأَنْفَال

لِيَمِيزَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْخَبِيثَ مِنَ ٱلطَّيِّبِ وَيَجْعَلَ ٱلْخَبِيثَ بَعْضَهُۥ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍ فَيَرْكُمَهُۥ …

Quran 8:37 is ayah 37 of Surah Al-Anfal (“The Spoils of War”), a Medinan surah of 75 ayahs. It is in Juz 9, on page 181 of the Madani Mushaf.

لِيَمِيزَٱللَّهُٱلْخَبِيثَمِنَٱلطَّيِّبِوَيَجْعَلَٱلْخَبِيثَبَعْضَهُۥعَلَىٰبَعْضٍفَيَرْكُمَهُۥجَمِيعًافَيَجْعَلَهُۥفِىجَهَنَّمَ ۚأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَهُمُٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ٣٧
liyamīza l-lahu l-khabītha mina l-ṭayibi wayajʿala l-khabītha baʿḍahu ʿalā baʿḍin fayarkumahu jamīʿan fayajʿalahu fī jahannama ulāika humu l-khāsirūna

[It is] so that Allāh may distinguish the wicked from the good and place the wicked some of them upon others and heap them all together and put them into Hell. It is those who are the losers.(37)
