وَإِن تَوَلَّوْا۟ فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَوْلَىٰكُمْ ۚ نِعْمَ ٱلْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ ٱلنَّصِيرُ

Quran 8:40 is ayah 40 of Surah Al-Anfal (“The Spoils of War”), a Medinan surah of 75 ayahs. It is in Juz 9, on page 181 of the Madani Mushaf.

8:40

وَإِنتَوَلَّوْا۟فَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟أَنَّٱللَّهَمَوْلَىٰكُمْ ۚنِعْمَٱلْمَوْلَىٰوَنِعْمَٱلنَّصِيرُ٤٠

wa-in tawallaw fa-iʿ'lamū anna l-laha mawlākum niʿ'ma l-mawlā waniʿ'ma l-naṣīru

But if they turn away - then know that Allāh is your protector. Excellent is the protector, and excellent is the helper.(40)
