Surah Al-A'raf, Ayah 131 (7:131)

ٱلْأَعْرَاف

فَإِذَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلْحَسَنَةُ قَالُوا۟ لَنَا هَٰذِهِۦ ۖ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَطَّيَّرُوا۟ …

Quran 7:131 is ayah 131 of Surah Al-A'raf (“The Heights”), a Meccan surah of 206 ayahs. It is in Juz 9, on page 166 of the Madani Mushaf.

7:131
فَإِذَاجَآءَتْهُمُٱلْحَسَنَةُقَالُوا۟لَنَاهَٰذِهِۦ ۖوَإِنتُصِبْهُمْسَيِّئَةٌيَطَّيَّرُوا۟بِمُوسَىٰوَمَنمَّعَهُۥٓ ۗأَلَآإِنَّمَاطَٰٓئِرُهُمْعِندَٱللَّهِوَلَٰكِنَّأَكْثَرَهُمْلَايَعْلَمُونَ١٣١
fa-idhā jāathumu l-ḥasanatu qālū lanā hādhihi wa-in tuṣib'hum sayyi-atun yaṭṭayyarū bimūsā waman maʿahu alā innamā ṭāiruhum ʿinda l-lahi walākinna aktharahum lā yaʿlamūna

But when good [i.e., provision] came to them, they said, "This is ours [by right]." And if a bad [condition] struck them, they saw an evil omen in Moses and those with him. Unquestionably, their fortune is with Allāh, but most of them do not know.(131)

  20. أَكْثَرَهُمْaktharahummost of them
  21. لَاlā(do) not
  22. يَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnaknow
