Surah Al-A'raf, Ayah 162 (7:162)

ٱلْأَعْرَاف

فَبَدَّلَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ قَوْلًا غَيْرَ ٱلَّذِى قِيلَ لَهُمْ فَأَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ …

Quran 7:162 is ayah 162 of Surah Al-A'raf (“The Heights”), a Meccan surah of 206 ayahs. It is in Juz 9, on page 171 of the Madani Mushaf.

7:162
فَبَدَّلَٱلَّذِينَظَلَمُوا۟مِنْهُمْقَوْلًاغَيْرَٱلَّذِىقِيلَلَهُمْفَأَرْسَلْنَاعَلَيْهِمْرِجْزًامِّنَٱلسَّمَآءِبِمَاكَانُوا۟يَظْلِمُونَ١٦٢
fabaddala alladhīna ẓalamū min'hum qawlan ghayra alladhī qīla lahum fa-arsalnā ʿalayhim rij'zan mina l-samāi bimā kānū yaẓlimūna

But those who wronged among them changed [the words] to a statement other than that which had been said to them. So We sent upon them a punishment from the sky for the wrong that they were doing.(162)
