وَلَكُمْ فِى ٱلْقِصَاصِ حَيَوٰةٌ يَٰٓأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَٰبِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ

Quran 2:179 is ayah 179 of Surah Al-Baqarah (“The Cow”), a Medinan surah of 286 ayahs. It is in Juz 2, on page 27 of the Madani Mushaf.

2:179

وَلَكُمْفِىٱلْقِصَاصِحَيَوٰةٌيَٰٓأُو۟لِىٱلْأَلْبَٰبِلَعَلَّكُمْتَتَّقُونَ١٧٩

walakum fī l-qiṣāṣi ḥayatun yāulī l-albābi laʿallakum tattaqūna

And there is for you in legal retribution [saving of] life, O you [people] of understanding, that you may become righteous.(179)
