Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 271 (2:271)

ٱلْبَقَرَة

إِن تُبْدُوا۟ ٱلصَّدَقَٰتِ فَنِعِمَّا هِىَ ۖ وَإِن تُخْفُوهَا وَتُؤْتُوهَا ٱلْفُقَرَآءَ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ …

Quran 2:271 is ayah 271 of Surah Al-Baqarah (“The Cow”), a Medinan surah of 286 ayahs. It is in Juz 3, on page 46 of the Madani Mushaf.

إِنتُبْدُوا۟ٱلصَّدَقَٰتِفَنِعِمَّاهِىَ ۖوَإِنتُخْفُوهَاوَتُؤْتُوهَاٱلْفُقَرَآءَفَهُوَخَيْرٌلَّكُمْ ۚوَيُكَفِّرُعَنكُممِّنسَئَِّاتِكُمْ ۗوَٱللَّهُبِمَاتَعْمَلُونَخَبِيرٌ٢٧١
in tub'dū l-ṣadaqāti faniʿimmā hiya wa-in tukh'fūhā watu'tūhā l-fuqarāa fahuwa khayrun lakum wayukaffiru ʿankum min sayyiātikum wal-lahu bimā taʿmalūna khabīrun

If you disclose your charitable expenditures, they are good; but if you conceal them and give them to the poor, it is better for you, and He will remove from you some of your misdeeds [thereby]. And Allāh, of what you do, is [fully] Aware.(271)
