Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 36 (2:36)

ٱلْبَقَرَة

فَأَزَلَّهُمَا ٱلشَّيْطَٰنُ عَنْهَا فَأَخْرَجَهُمَا مِمَّا كَانَا فِيهِ ۖ وَقُلْنَا ٱهْبِطُوا۟ …

Quran 2:36 is ayah 36 of Surah Al-Baqarah (“The Cow”), a Medinan surah of 286 ayahs. It is in Juz 1, on page 6 of the Madani Mushaf.

فَأَزَلَّهُمَاٱلشَّيْطَٰنُعَنْهَافَأَخْرَجَهُمَامِمَّاكَانَافِيهِ ۖوَقُلْنَاٱهْبِطُوا۟بَعْضُكُمْلِبَعْضٍعَدُوٌّ ۖوَلَكُمْفِىٱلْأَرْضِمُسْتَقَرٌّوَمَتَٰعٌإِلَىٰحِينٍ٣٦
fa-azallahumā l-shayṭānu ʿanhā fa-akhrajahumā mimmā kānā fīhi waqul'nā ih'biṭū baʿḍukum libaʿḍin ʿaduwwun walakum fī l-arḍi mus'taqarrun wamatāʿun ilā ḥīnin

But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them from that [condition] in which they had been. And We said, "Go down, [all of you], as enemies to one another, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time."(36)

  16. مُسْتَقَرٌّmus'taqarrun(is) a dwelling place
  17. وَمَتَٰعٌwamatāʿunand a provision
  18. إِلَىٰilāfor
  19. حِينٍḥīnina period
