Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 86 (2:86)

ٱلْبَقَرَة

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱشْتَرَوُا۟ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِٱلَْٔاخِرَةِ ۖ فَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ …

Quran 2:86 is ayah 86 of Surah Al-Baqarah (“The Cow”), a Medinan surah of 286 ayahs. It is in Juz 1, on page 13 of the Madani Mushaf.

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَٱلَّذِينَٱشْتَرَوُا۟ٱلْحَيَوٰةَٱلدُّنْيَابِٱلَْٔاخِرَةِ ۖفَلَايُخَفَّفُعَنْهُمُٱلْعَذَابُوَلَاهُمْيُنصَرُونَ٨٦
ulāika alladhīna ish'tarawū l-ḥayata l-dun'yā bil-ākhirati falā yukhaffafu ʿanhumu l-ʿadhābu walā hum yunṣarūna

Those are the ones who have bought the life of this world [in exchange] for the Hereafter, so the punishment will not be lightened for them, nor will they be aided.(86)
