Surah Al-Furqan, Ayah 53 (25:53)

ٱلْفُرْقَان

۞ وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ هَٰذَا عَذْبٌ فُرَاتٌ وَهَٰذَا مِلْحٌ أُجَاجٌ وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَهُمَا …

Quran 25:53 is ayah 53 of Surah Al-Furqan (“The Criterion”), a Meccan surah of 77 ayahs. It is in Juz 19, on page 364 of the Madani Mushaf.

25:53
۞ وَهُوَٱلَّذِىمَرَجَٱلْبَحْرَيْنِهَٰذَاعَذْبٌفُرَاتٌوَهَٰذَامِلْحٌأُجَاجٌوَجَعَلَبَيْنَهُمَابَرْزَخًاوَحِجْرًامَّحْجُورًا٥٣
wahuwa alladhī maraja l-baḥrayni hādhā ʿadhbun furātun wahādhā mil'ḥun ujājun wajaʿala baynahumā barzakhan waḥij'ran maḥjūran

And it is He who has released [simultaneously] the two seas [i.e., bodies of water], one fresh and sweet and one salty and bitter, and He placed between them a barrier and prohibiting partition.(53)
