Surah Al-Furqan, Ayah 60 (25:60)

ٱلْفُرْقَان

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلرَّحْمَٰنِ قَالُوا۟ وَمَا ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا …

Quran 25:60 is ayah 60 of Surah Al-Furqan (“The Criterion”), a Meccan surah of 77 ayahs. It is in Juz 19, on page 365 of the Madani Mushaf.

25:60 Sajdah
وَإِذَاقِيلَلَهُمُٱسْجُدُوا۟لِلرَّحْمَٰنِقَالُوا۟وَمَاٱلرَّحْمَٰنُأَنَسْجُدُلِمَاتَأْمُرُنَاوَزَادَهُمْنُفُورًا ۩٦٠
wa-idhā qīla lahumu us'judū lilrraḥmāni qālū wamā l-raḥmānu anasjudu limā tamurunā wazādahum nufūran

And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion.(60)
