Surah Al-Isra, Ayah 62 (17:62)

ٱلْإِسْرَاء

قَالَ أَرَءَيْتَكَ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِى كَرَّمْتَ عَلَىَّ لَئِنْ أَخَّرْتَنِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْقِيَٰمَةِ …

Quran 17:62 is ayah 62 of Surah Al-Isra (“The Night Journey”), a Meccan surah of 111 ayahs. It is in Juz 15, on page 288 of the Madani Mushaf.

قَالَأَرَءَيْتَكَهَٰذَاٱلَّذِىكَرَّمْتَعَلَىَّلَئِنْأَخَّرْتَنِإِلَىٰيَوْمِٱلْقِيَٰمَةِلَأَحْتَنِكَنَّذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓإِلَّاقَلِيلًا٦٢
qāla ara-aytaka hādhā alladhī karramta ʿalayya la-in akhartani ilā yawmi l-qiyāmati la-aḥtanikanna dhurriyyatahu illā qalīlan

[Iblees] said, "Do You see this one whom You have honored above me? If You delay me [i.e., my death] until the Day of Resurrection, I will surely destroy his descendants, except for a few."(62)
