Surah Al-Isra, Ayah 79 (17:79)

ٱلْإِسْرَاء

وَمِنَ ٱلَّيْلِ فَتَهَجَّدْ بِهِۦ نَافِلَةً لَّكَ عَسَىٰٓ أَن يَبْعَثَكَ رَبُّكَ مَقَامًا مَّحْمُودًا

Quran 17:79 is ayah 79 of Surah Al-Isra (“The Night Journey”), a Meccan surah of 111 ayahs. It is in Juz 15, on page 290 of the Madani Mushaf.

17:79
وَمِنَٱلَّيْلِفَتَهَجَّدْبِهِۦنَافِلَةًلَّكَعَسَىٰٓأَنيَبْعَثَكَرَبُّكَمَقَامًامَّحْمُودًا٧٩
wamina al-layli fatahajjad bihi nāfilatan laka ʿasā an yabʿathaka rabbuka maqāman maḥmūdan

And from [part of] the night, pray with it [i.e., recitation of the Qur’ān] as additional [worship] for you; it is expected that your Lord will resurrect you to a praised station.(79)
