Surah Al-Ma'idah, Ayah 71 (5:71)

ٱلْمَائِدَة

وَحَسِبُوٓا۟ أَلَّا تَكُونَ فِتْنَةٌ فَعَمُوا۟ وَصَمُّوا۟ ثُمَّ تَابَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِمْ ثُمَّ عَمُوا۟ …

Quran 5:71 is ayah 71 of Surah Al-Ma'idah (“The Table Spread”), a Medinan surah of 120 ayahs. It is in Juz 6, on page 120 of the Madani Mushaf.

وَحَسِبُوٓا۟أَلَّاتَكُونَفِتْنَةٌفَعَمُوا۟وَصَمُّوا۟ثُمَّتَابَٱللَّهُعَلَيْهِمْثُمَّعَمُوا۟وَصَمُّوا۟كَثِيرٌمِّنْهُمْ ۚوَٱللَّهُبَصِيرٌۢبِمَايَعْمَلُونَ٧١
waḥasibū allā takūna fit'natun faʿamū waṣammū thumma tāba l-lahu ʿalayhim thumma ʿamū waṣammū kathīrun min'hum wal-lahu baṣīrun bimā yaʿmalūna

And they thought there would be no [resulting] punishment, so they became blind and deaf. Then Allāh turned to them in forgiveness; then [again] many of them became blind and deaf. And Allāh is Seeing of what they do.(71)
