ٱلنَّمْل

قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ لِمَ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ ۖ لَوْلَا تَسْتَغْفِرُونَ ٱللَّهَ …

Quran 27:46 is ayah 46 of Surah An-Naml (“The Ant”), a Meccan surah of 93 ayahs. It is in Juz 19, on page 381 of the Madani Mushaf.

قَالَيَٰقَوْمِلِمَتَسْتَعْجِلُونَبِٱلسَّيِّئَةِقَبْلَٱلْحَسَنَةِ ۖلَوْلَاتَسْتَغْفِرُونَٱللَّهَلَعَلَّكُمْتُرْحَمُونَ٤٦
qāla yāqawmi lima tastaʿjilūna bil-sayi-ati qabla l-ḥasanati lawlā tastaghfirūna l-laha laʿallakum tur'ḥamūna

He said, "O my people, why are you impatient for evil before [i.e., instead of] good? Why do you not seek forgiveness of Allāh that you may receive mercy?"(46)
