ٱلشُّورَىٰ

مَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ ٱلَْٔاخِرَةِ نَزِدْ لَهُۥ فِى حَرْثِهِۦ ۖ وَمَن كَانَ يُرِيدُ حَرْثَ …

Quran 42:20 is ayah 20 of Surah Ash-Shuraa (“The Consultation”), a Meccan surah of 53 ayahs. It is in Juz 25, on page 485 of the Madani Mushaf.

42:20
مَنكَانَيُرِيدُحَرْثَٱلَْٔاخِرَةِنَزِدْلَهُۥفِىحَرْثِهِۦ ۖوَمَنكَانَيُرِيدُحَرْثَٱلدُّنْيَانُؤْتِهِۦمِنْهَاوَمَالَهُۥفِىٱلَْٔاخِرَةِمِننَّصِيبٍ٢٠
man kāna yurīdu ḥartha l-ākhirati nazid lahu fī ḥarthihi waman kāna yurīdu ḥartha l-dun'yā nu'tihi min'hā wamā lahu fī l-ākhirati min naṣībin

Whoever desires the harvest of the Hereafter - We increase for him in his harvest [i.e., reward]. And whoever desires the harvest [i.e., benefits] of this world - We give him thereof, but there is not for him in the Hereafter any share.(20)
