Surah At-Tawbah, Ayah 18 (9:18)

ٱلتَّوْبَة

إِنَّمَا يَعْمُرُ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ مَنْ ءَامَنَ بِٱللَّهِ وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلَْٔاخِرِ وَأَقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ …

Quran 9:18 is ayah 18 of Surah At-Tawbah (“The Repentance”), a Medinan surah of 129 ayahs. It is in Juz 10, on page 189 of the Madani Mushaf.

9:18
إِنَّمَايَعْمُرُمَسَٰجِدَٱللَّهِمَنْءَامَنَبِٱللَّهِوَٱلْيَوْمِٱلَْٔاخِرِوَأَقَامَٱلصَّلَوٰةَوَءَاتَىٱلزَّكَوٰةَوَلَمْيَخْشَإِلَّاٱللَّهَ ۖفَعَسَىٰٓأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَأَنيَكُونُوا۟مِنَٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ١٨
innamā yaʿmuru masājida l-lahi man āmana bil-lahi wal-yawmi l-ākhiri wa-aqāma l-ṣalata waātā l-zakata walam yakhsha illā l-laha faʿasā ulāika an yakūnū mina l-muh'tadīna

The mosques of Allāh are only to be maintained by those who believe in Allāh and the Last Day and establish prayer and give zakāh and do not fear except Allāh, for it is expected that those will be of the [rightly] guided.(18)

  23. ٱلْمُهْتَدِينَl-muh'tadīnathe guided ones
