فَٱسْتَخَفَّ قَوْمَهُۥ فَأَطَاعُوهُ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَوْمًا فَٰسِقِينَ

Quran 43:54 is ayah 54 of Surah Az-Zukhruf (“The Ornaments of Gold”), a Meccan surah of 89 ayahs. It is in Juz 25, on page 493 of the Madani Mushaf.

43:54

فَٱسْتَخَفَّقَوْمَهُۥفَأَطَاعُوهُ ۚإِنَّهُمْكَانُوا۟قَوْمًافَٰسِقِينَ٥٤

fa-is'takhaffa qawmahu fa-aṭāʿūhu innahum kānū qawman fāsiqīna

So he bluffed his people, and they obeyed him. Indeed, they were [themselves] a people defiantly disobedient [of Allāh].(54)
