Surah Ghafir, Ayah 50 (40:50)

غَافِر

قَالُوٓا۟ أَوَلَمْ تَكُ تَأْتِيكُمْ رُسُلُكُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ ۖ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ ۚ قَالُوا۟ فَٱدْعُوا۟ ۗ …

Quran 40:50 is ayah 50 of Surah Ghafir (“The Forgiver”), a Meccan surah of 85 ayahs. It is in Juz 24, on page 473 of the Madani Mushaf.

قَالُوٓا۟أَوَلَمْتَكُتَأْتِيكُمْرُسُلُكُمبِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ ۖقَالُوا۟بَلَىٰ ۚقَالُوا۟فَٱدْعُوا۟ ۗوَمَادُعَٰٓؤُا۟ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَإِلَّافِىضَلَٰلٍ٥٠
qālū awalam taku tatīkum rusulukum bil-bayināti qālū balā qālū fa-id'ʿū wamā duʿāu l-kāfirīna illā fī ḍalālin

They will say, "Did there not come to you your messengers with clear proofs?" They will say, "Yes." They will reply, "Then supplicate [yourselves], but the supplication of the disbelievers is not except in error [i.e., futility]."(50)
