Surah Hud, Ayah 20 (11:20)

هُود

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَمْ يَكُونُوا۟ مُعْجِزِينَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مِنْ …

Quran 11:20 is ayah 20 of Surah Hud (“Hud”), a Meccan surah of 123 ayahs. It is in Juz 12, on page 224 of the Madani Mushaf.

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَلَمْيَكُونُوا۟مُعْجِزِينَفِىٱلْأَرْضِوَمَاكَانَلَهُممِّندُونِٱللَّهِمِنْأَوْلِيَآءَ ۘيُضَٰعَفُلَهُمُٱلْعَذَابُ ۚمَاكَانُوا۟يَسْتَطِيعُونَٱلسَّمْعَوَمَاكَانُوا۟يُبْصِرُونَ٢٠
ulāika lam yakūnū muʿ'jizīna fī l-arḍi wamā kāna lahum min dūni l-lahi min awliyāa yuḍāʿafu lahumu l-ʿadhābu mā kānū yastaṭīʿūna l-samʿa wamā kānū yub'ṣirūna

Those were not causing failure [to Allāh] on earth, nor did they have besides Allāh any protectors. For them the punishment will be multiplied. They were not able to hear, nor did they see.(20)
