Surah Luqman, Ayah 17 (31:17)

لُقْمَان

يَٰبُنَىَّ أَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأْمُرْ بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَٱنْهَ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَٱصْبِرْ عَلَىٰ مَآ …

Quran 31:17 is ayah 17 of Surah Luqman (“Luqman”), a Meccan surah of 34 ayahs. It is in Juz 21, on page 412 of the Madani Mushaf.

31:17
يَٰبُنَىَّأَقِمِٱلصَّلَوٰةَوَأْمُرْبِٱلْمَعْرُوفِوَٱنْهَعَنِٱلْمُنكَرِوَٱصْبِرْعَلَىٰمَآأَصَابَكَ ۖإِنَّذَٰلِكَمِنْعَزْمِٱلْأُمُورِ١٧
yābunayya aqimi l-ṣalata wamur bil-maʿrūfi wa-in'ha ʿani l-munkari wa-iṣ'bir ʿalā mā aṣābaka inna dhālika min ʿazmi l-umūri

O my son, establish prayer, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and be patient over what befalls you. Indeed, [all] that is of the matters [requiring] resolve.(17)
