Surah Al-Jathiyah, Ayah 35 (45:35)

ٱلْجَاثِيَة

ذَٰلِكُم بِأَنَّكُمُ ٱتَّخَذْتُمْ ءَايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ هُزُوًا وَغَرَّتْكُمُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ …

Quran 45:35 is ayah 35 of Surah Al-Jathiyah (“The Crouching”), a Meccan surah of 37 ayahs. It is in Juz 25, on page 502 of the Madani Mushaf.

ذَٰلِكُمبِأَنَّكُمُٱتَّخَذْتُمْءَايَٰتِٱللَّهِهُزُوًاوَغَرَّتْكُمُٱلْحَيَوٰةُٱلدُّنْيَا ۚفَٱلْيَوْمَلَايُخْرَجُونَمِنْهَاوَلَاهُمْيُسْتَعْتَبُونَ٣٥
dhālikum bi-annakumu ittakhadhtum āyāti l-lahi huzuwan wagharratkumu l-ḥayatu l-dun'yā fal-yawma lā yukh'rajūna min'hā walā hum yus'taʿtabūna

That is because you took the verses of Allāh in ridicule, and worldly life deluded you." So that Day they will not be removed from it, nor will they be asked to appease [Allāh].(35)
