Surah An-Naba, Ayah 38 (78:38)

ٱلنَّبَأ

يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلرُّوحُ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ صَفًّا ۖ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ …

Quran 78:38 is ayah 38 of Surah An-Naba (“The Tidings”), a Meccan surah of 40 ayahs. It is in Juz 30, on page 583 of the Madani Mushaf.

78:38
يَوْمَيَقُومُٱلرُّوحُوَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُصَفًّا ۖلَّايَتَكَلَّمُونَإِلَّامَنْأَذِنَلَهُٱلرَّحْمَٰنُوَقَالَصَوَابًا٣٨
yawma yaqūmu l-rūḥu wal-malāikatu ṣaffan lā yatakallamūna illā man adhina lahu l-raḥmānu waqāla ṣawāban

The Day that the Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except for one whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is correct.(38)
